ESPN won Monday Night’s ratings “game.” The network’s weekly Monday Night Football matchup (this week between the Texans and Patriots) pulled in over fourteen million viewers. To be exact, the matchup between the NFL leading teams pulled in a total of 14,483,000 viewers according to weekly Nielsen numbers. The network took the night’s overall win in both broadcast and cable, including key adult and male demographics. Last night’s ratings win was the biggest for the network as the Pats’ 42-14 thumping of the Texans brought in more viewers than the network had gotten over the course of the current NFL season. So far this season, MNF has averaged 13,203,000 viewers over the course of each MNF broadcast. That’s up slightly from this point last season.
Next up on ESPN’s Monday Night Football is a matchup between the Titans and the struggling New York Jets. The game will air next Monday, December 17th at 8:30pm on ESPN.
