  1. Thank You / Chris Wallace Album Release Week

Thanks so much for your support of Chris Wallace. The feature that you did for us really worked out well! I wanted to reach out to you because Chris’ album, Push Rewind, comes out today and his single “Remember When (Push Rewind)” is a free download on iTunes this week. It would be really cool if you could send out a tweet today for us including @ChrisWallace101, mentioning that his single is free on iTunes + the album is available now, and this link takes them to both the free single and the album download: http://bit.ly/pushrewind

Thanks so much for your support and we look forward to continuing to work together in the future!

  2. Phil!! Thanks so much for the FANTASTIC review of “Bear Hunt!” The write-up was a total joy to read, it made our day.

Where are you based out of?? We’ll get you on the list if we’re ever in town!

    Warmest, Patrick

  3. THANK YOU for the great review of MIMESIS Phil. I agree with you and hope that your blog can help bring the film to an even broader audience or motivate others to help promote it. Cheers!

  4. Phil, thank you SO much for the amazing review of “In a Hearbeat!” Maybe I will do an album of jazz standards for kids someday. So glad you dig the record. These songs are near and dear to me. My drummer and bass player are well-versed in jazz! Paper Moon is a song I first learned in 7th grade chorus and then later learned on guitar in college. It’s always been a fave. Cool that your a drummer! Thanks again and if I’m ever in NC for a show, I’ll keep you posted!–Laura

  5. Hey Phil. Thank you very much for the brilliant review on ‘Ethereal Ash’. You have beautifully noticed so many aspects of the song that it makes us feel proud today…:) We will be ready with a new track by Mid – Feb 2015 and definitely will be sent to you.
Keep up this great work and have a killer week ahead.
    Best Regards

  6. Thank you so much for focusing on packaging when you review things. That is definitely an area that is really neglected in most reviews. I really appreciate your attention to detail. Compact packaging is really essential in this day and age of limited shelf space.

    • It really is important. In some cases such as the releases from Shout! Factory and Timeless Media Group, the smarter, ergonomic packaging is the norm. So I don’t mention it. But in others such as Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.: The Complete Series, it is very important to note, especially with that one being a re-issue. I’m sure it will become increasingly important as time passes and other pieces get released. I even think BD packaging is better than DVD.It’s another reason I only buy Blu-ray if I can.

  7. Thank you so much for your review of the Gomer Pyle re-release set. I was trying to determine whether I should purchase the 2008 version or the 2015 version. Your fantastic review of the differences between the sets was very helpful. I am still disappointed in Paramount for taking out all of the parts where Jim Nabors sings. What a tremendous voice and I would have liked to see those parts included.

  8. This is a follow up to your article for Battle of the Garage Bands. We are trying to push for people to vote, so they can win a chance to meet the celebrities, and purchase tickets, to raise money for Sweet Relief (sweetrelief.org).

  10. Your review of Heart Signal and the deep listen you gave it are the pinnacle of what I could hope for in how people perceive my releases. Thank you for connecting to it like you did and for the wonderful review!

  11. Hi Phil! Thank you very much for your thoughtful and detailed review of HOLA, AMIGO: SONGS OF FRIENDSHIP. Your analysis of the lyrical and musical elements articulated the goals we had making the album and also gave us an opportunity to hear it in a different way. THANK YOU for mentioning that many of the themes resonate with young and older ears and hearts, and yes! “Bullies Never Win” must resonate all the way to the White House.
Appreciate what you’re doing for the musical community.

  13. I appreciate your thoughtful and thorough review of my album. It was wonderful to read your insights, and validating to discover how clearly the truth of this music came across.

    All the best,
    JP

Just an extra FYI ‘Extempore Arquitectura’ expresses the spontaneous construction of the piece as well as the joining of the two cultures and languages of the players 😉

  14. Thank you for taking the time to review Love for Sailin’n Over Seas: Then & Now. It is much appreciated.

I have heard from folks that, even though they have previous albums, they are playing it repeatedly, and so, thankfully more than once.

    Again, I thank you.
