Smashing Pumpkins want fans’ art

The members of Smashing Pumpkins are asking fans to submit their best artwork inspired by the band’s new upcoming album, “Imagine Oceania.”  The band will take some of its favorite pieces and include them on its many social networking sites.  A lucky few may even end up on the band’s main website, http://www.smashingpumpkins.com.  Fans can get the full information on the new initiative on the band’s website at http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/oceania/imagine-oceania

Along with this new initiative, the band has started a new challenge in partnership with JPMAG.com.  The challenge allows fans to submit photos for each of the thirteen songs on the band’s upcoming album.  There will be challenges to determine the best photo submission for each song.  One photo from each challenge will be picked to be included on a limited edition print on demand canvas poster that will be signed by the band.  Fans can get more information on this challenge online at http://www.jpmag.com/blog/2012/05/smashing-pumpkins-oceania.html.
