Red Hot Chili Peppers will “be with fans” into the new year

LOS ANGELES, CA–Red Hot Chili Peppers will “be with fans” even more this year and into the new year.  That’s becase the band will be releasing eighteen previously unreleased sides from the “I’m With You” sessions over the next six months.  The sides will be released both digitally and on vinyl with each seven inch vinyl release having two sides.

The first pair of sides–‘Strange Man’ and ‘Long Progression’–will be released August 14th.  ‘Strange Man’ will be the A-side, and ‘Long Progression’ the B-side.  ‘Magpies’ and ‘Victorian Machinery’ will follow on September 11th.  And then on October 2nd, the band will release ‘Never Is A Long Time’ and ‘Love of Your Life.’  The remaining titles are currently TBD.  However, fans can go ahead and mark their calendars as the release dates for those singles have been largely set.  The dates for the remaining sets of sides to be released in 2012 are:  November 6th, December 4th, and December 18th.  Plans are still in the works for the final two sets of sides.  Although it is known that they will be released in early 2013.

RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer commented on the upcoming releases.  He said, “Finding songs that seem to want to join hands with others is a special task that require the right people… and the right songs!”  He went on, saying, “Some songs seem to have a lot more of an agenda than others. Some songs play well with others and some songs need more attention and a little extra care. Here are some songs that seemed to want to pair up and take a later train. Keep your eye on them, they’re up to something…”
