Indie-Folk Singer Heads Out On Tour Ahead Of New Release

Indie-folk singer Samantha Crain has hit the road alongside William Elliot Whitmore ahead of the release of her third full length studio release.  Crain, who hails from Shawnee, Oklahoma, has already garnered respect both from fans and critics alike.  Even Rolling Stone has commented on the power of Crain’s voice and her writing.  She started her brand new tour with a performance at Deep South bar in Raleigh, North Carolina.  She will be headlining tomorrow at a stop in Jacobsburg, Ohio.  She will be making another stop in North Carolina at Asheville’s Grey Eagle on September 19th.

Crain released her sophomore LP, “You (Understood)” in 2010.  She received praise from Rolling Stone, Spin and even the New York Times for that release.  Her third album, which is currently untitled, is expected to be released in early 2013 on Ramseur Records.  Fans can Crain’s full tour lineup online at,, and
