Fans of Between The Buried and Me got their first glimpse into the making of the band’s new album Coma Ecliptic this week.

Metal Blade Records released an interview with BTBAM front man Tommy Rogers on Tuesday in which Rogers discusses the concept behind the record both musically and lyrically. Rogers explains in the clip, which can be seen here, that the main subject of the album’s story has put himself intentionally into a coma because he is unhappy with the world in which he lives. While in his coma, he experiences the many past lives that he has lives. If this seems a bit dark, Rogers does admit in the clip that it is in fact a dark story to a point. He also cites The Twilight Zone and The Truman Show in explaining the concept. While coming in at a little more than two minutes, the new clip offers quite a bit of insight into the upcoming album, which will be released in stores and online Tuesday, July 7th.  Fans can check out the album’s lead single ‘Memory Palace’ now at

In celebration of Coma Ecliptic’s release, BTBAM will hit the road for a headlining tour that will take the band from the east coast to the west and in-between over the course of thirty-two dates.
