Veteran rock act Garbage has a special announcement for its fans.
Twenty years ago this year (August 15th to be exact), Garbage released its self-titled debut album. In honor of that anniversary, the band has announed that it will hit the road this summer for what it has deemed the “20 Years Queer Tour.” The tour will be split up into two legs with the U.S. leg kicking off October 6th in San Diego, California. The U.S. leg runs through ctober 29th in Washington, D.C. The European leg of the tour begins October 31st in Cologne, Germany and runs through November 14th in Edinburgh, UK. Torres will act as support act on the U.S. leg of the tour. Dutch Uncles will take over supporting duties for the European leg of the tour.
Along with the tour, a special 20th anniverary edition of Garbage’s debut album will also be released later this summer to celebrate its original release two decades ago. Tickets for the “20 Years Queer Tour” will go on sale this Friday, June 12th.
