Fans of Exmortus recently got their first taste of the band’s new album Ride Forth when the band released the album’s lead single ‘For The Horde.’ Now fans are getting another tease as the band has unveiled the cover art for its new album.
Exmortus unveiled the cover art for Ride Forth, its fourth full-length studio recording, this week. The artwork features three skeletal warriors riding on the backs of some rather large horses riding away from a decimated city, bearing their weapons of battle as can be seen above. The original concept for the cover art is an oil painting done by artist Philip Lawvere (Kreator, Celtic Frost). It is not the first time that Lawvere has worked with the LA-based metal act. He also designed the cover art for Slave To The Sword (2014), the band’s first effort for its current record label Prosthetic Records.
Those wanting to get a taste of the band’s new album won’t have too long to wait. The band will hit the road in support of its upcoming album beginning Saturday, December 19th in Santa Ana, California’s annual Winter Slaughter Fest. It will perform alongside Flotsam and Jetsam, and label mates Holy Grail, who are also expected to release their new album in early 2016, too. The forty-five date tour will take the band throughout Canada and the United States and will wrap February 20th, 2016. Enforcer, Warbringer, and Cauldron will share support duties for the tour. Ticket information is available online now at http://www.exmortusmusic.com. The band’s complete tour schedule is noted below.
