College football’s post season is officially here. And ESPN kicks off coverage this weekend with a broadcast of the annual awarding of the Heisman Trophy.

ESPN kicks off coverage of the 2015 college football bowl season this Saturday, December 12th with the broadcast of the annual Heisman Trophy Award ceremony. The ceremony will be carried live at 8pm ET on ESPN. The finalists in the running for the award were announced this past Monday December 7th. They are: Derrick Henry (RB – Alabama), Christian McCaffrey (RB – Stanford), and Deshaun Watson (QB – Clemson). Chris Fowler and Joe Tessitore will co-anchor Saturday night’s broadcast. They will be joined at the desk by analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Tim Tebow and Lee Corso. This year’s broadcast of the Heisman Trophy presentation has been extended to ninety minutes.

Saturday’s broadcast of the Heisman Trophy presentation is just one small part of the ESPN networks’ college football post season coverage. Beginning next Saturday, December 19th ESPN Events and the ESPN networks will carry all thirteen bowl games that are owned and operated by ESPN Events. The networks’ coverage runs right up to December 30th with the Birmingham Bowl.  That’s not where the games end, though.  ESPN and its networks will carry full coverage of the college football post season right up to the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl on January 2nd. Details on each ESPN Events game are noted below along with the other games that will be presented via the ESPN networks.
