ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm makes its annual return this month.
The worldwide leader in sports’ flagship college basketball program returns Saturday, January 23rd. Opening weekend will feature a matchup of two Big Ten opponents, #5 Michigan State and #3 Maryland. The morning broadcast tips off at 11am ET on ESPN. Later in the evening, Saturday Primetime presented by DIRECTV will air ahead of the night’s game. Rece Davis will anchor Saturday morning’s broadcast of College GameDay Covered by State Farm. He will be joined at the desk by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg, and Jay Williams. Dan Shulman will have the call for the evening’s game between the Spartans and Terps. He will be joined in the booth by Jay Bilas. Reporter Shannon Spake will also be on hand for additional commentary and news throughout the game.
ESPN’s January 23rd edition of College GameDay Covered by State Farm marks the fourth time that the program has aired live from East Lansing. For the Spartans, the upcoming edition of CGD marks the eighth time that the team has made an appearance on the annual college basketball broadcast. And for the Terrapins, the game marks the second time that the team has appeared at the site of a CGD broadcast.
Tipoff time for the Spartans/Terrapins matchup will be announced soon. CGD’s broadcast site will be announced one week in advance of its broadcast throughout the course of the program’s annual seven-week run.
