EMP Label Group has yet another new addition to its stable.
The independent record label owned by Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson has added Apollo Under Fire to its roster. The Florida-based band released its new self-titled LP earlier this month through a partnership with Cavigold Records, LLC, eOne and SPV GMBH. The record was distributed domestically by eOne and by SPV GMBH in Europe. The lyric video for the band’s latest single ‘Gotta Believe’ is streaming now online via the band’s official YouTube Channel. The song can be downloaded now via iTunes.
The band’s name is taken from Apollo, the Greek god of Music, Healing, and Sun among other items. The name comes from the message of the spirit and its purpose to the soul contained in the band’s songs. The band was originally formed when Donald Carpenter (SubmergeD, Eye Empire) met Pete Klett (Candlebox, Lotus Crush) at a benefit for the Johnny Damon Foundation in Orlando, Florida in 2013. The pair instantly connected and formed the framework for what is now known as Apollo Under Fire. Drummer Tom Costanza came into the picture next, and was then followed by bassist Stu Cox and guitarist Jimmy Kwong of Soulswitch.
Two live dates have currently been confirmed for the band. They are:
8/19/2016 Seattle, WA @ Studio Seven
8/20/2016 Seattle, WA @ Hempfest
