Everybody loves a good underdog story.  And this summer Shout! Factory has a brand new underdog story for audiences.

Endgame will be released Tuesday, next Tuesday, July 5th.  The movie centers on a high school on the border town of Brownsville, Texas.  The school in question is not one of the more well off schools in its district.  When the school started a chess team that team would surprise everybody and defy all of the odds to become a state champion team.  The story is fictional but based on very real events.  It stars Rico Rodriguez (Modern Family, The Muppets, Epic Movie), Ivonne Coll (Jane The Virgin, Lean On Me, The Godfather: Part II), Efren Ramirez (Crank, Napoleon Dynamite, Employee of the Month), and Justina Machado (The Purge: Anarchy, Welcome to the Family, Queen of the South).

Along with its central underdog story, Endgame also focuses on the hot button issues of immigration, teen drinking, self-confidence, and bullying.  The movie will be available both on DVD and Blu-ray.  The DVD will retail for MSRP of $14.98 and the Blu-ray for $22.97.  It can be ordered online now direct via Shout! Factory’s online store at discounted prices of $13.98 (DVD) and $18.97 (Blu-ray).  More information on this and other title from Shout! Factory is available online now at:
