Flobots recently announced it has a new album on the way in the New Year and just this week, the veteran hip-hop act announced it will hit the road this fall in support of its upcoming album.
The “Your Life Matters Tour” will launch October 27th in Wichita, Kansas and currently runs through January 2nd in Aspen, Colorado. The tour is sin support of the group’s upcoming album NOENEMIES.
No release date has been announced for NOENEMIES. The album will be the group’s first full-length release since 2012’s Circle in the Square. Flobots drummer Kenny Ortiz said the band didn’t initially expect to tour until after NOENEMIES was released but the group felt, with the nation’s current state, there was a need to get out to the public again.
“Music has the power to bring people together, ” Ortiz said. “Right now we need that more than ever. We didn’t anticipate hitting the road again nationally until NOENEMIES is released next year. But with all that ‘s happening in the country and in the world right now, there is just too much to say and too much to do to not get out there.”
