Colossal Street Jam Unveils New Single, Video

Colossal Street Jam has some brand new music for audiences to enjoy.

The band unveiled this past Friday, the new lyric video for its latest single, ‘Just Take Hold.’  The video is a simple presentation, with much of the lyrics being written by a marker as the song progresses. The lyrics, all black set against a plain white background, fly off the screen after is line is sung, making way for the next line.  At times, the band’s logo makes its way onto the screen, too, for good measure.

The simplicity in the video’s approach is itself a wise approach.  The song itself is a work that musically will appeal to fans of Carlos Santana, The Doobie Brothers, and to a slightly lesser extent, The Allman Brothers Band and even Joe Satriani thanks to its guitar riffs.  Its lyrical content, meanwhile, will appeal to any listener.

Front man Gene Potts said in a recent interview that he felt the new single shows the band’s growth and its direction.

“Even though our last release, Living Free, is still going strong we decided to get back in the studio and release new music,” Potts said.  “I think this new single shows the inspired direction of our band and its the first track written by all 5 of us. We are beyond excited to share everything we are working on and we hope you all dig this new single.”
