Orgy is putting the finishing touches on its next album, and in anticipation, has released a teaser for the album’s first single.
The band released a teaser video Thursday for ‘Army To Your Party,’ the first single from its next album, tentatively titled #newmusic. The teaser video is streaming online now here. The single will feature a guest appearance by rapper Crichy Crich. Orgy front man Jay Gordon explained in a recent interview that the song’s lyrical theme centers on those people who embody the old adage that misery loves company.
“Lyrically, ‘Army To Your Party’ wreaks havok on pointless cliques and Energy Vamps, as I often refer to them by,” Gordon said. “Those are people who just have to rain on your parade and complain about everything just for the sake of complaining, yet offer nothing themselves.”
Pre-orders for ‘Army To Your Party’ are open now via iTunes, Amazon and Google Play here. The single will be officially released May 11, and is part of an EP featuring three separate mixes of the song — a radio edit, instrumental and a cappella take of the song. It will also be included in the band’s forthcoming album, whose release date has not yet been announced, and as part of the soundtrack for the MX vs. ATV video game
#newmusic will be released through a partnership of D1 Music and Pacific Rising Entertainment. The latter is a company formed by longtime Orgy fan Adrian Stinson that aims to work with acts and artists at every level.
