The Dead Daisies released the latest single from its new album this week.

The band debuted ‘Can’t Take It With You‘ on radio stations nationwide Friday. The song is the fourth single to be released from the band’s latest album Burn It Down, which was released April 6 via Spitfire Music.

Dead Daisies guitarist Doug Aldrich said the song’s lyrical theme centers on appreciating life. He added the song’s musical arrangement boasts influences from some very well-known acts who have come before.

“The song is about excess!!,” Aldrich said. “Sometimes enough is not enough. Live each day to the fullest, and enjoy life, as you can’t take it with you!!  Influences are songs like ‘Whole Lotta Love’ from Zep and ‘Iron Man’ by Sabbath, but on steroids. You don’t directly hear those songs, but there are similar movements.  Your influences come out as you’re writing!”

Drummer Deen Castronovo agreed and expanded on Aldrich’s thoughts.

“This is the first song I tracked as a Daisy!,” Castonovo said.  “The song is kind of a tongue in cheek look at rich rock stars/actors and the excess that was present in the late 70s and all through the 80s!”

The Dead Daisies will join KISS later this month on the KISS Kruise VIII in support of Burn It Down.  The cruise launches on Halloween from Miami.  Following that short run, the band will head overseas for an extensive UK tour that is currently scheduled to launch Nov. 10 and run through Dec. 16.
