Bloodywood debuted its latest video this week.
The India-based hard rock band debuted the video for its song ‘Machi Basad (Expect A Riot)‘ on Tuesday. The video presents the band performing its single on a crowded street in what is assumed to be in a town in India while audiences look on. Meanwhile footage of people dancing to the song are coupled with shots of people from the area to round out the video.
Musically, the song boasts a very aggro-rock that will appeal to fans of the rap-rock realm. Lyrically, the song presents a familiar message to listeners. The band explained the song’s lyrical content in a news release.
“Originally created for the upcoming Ubisoft game “Beyond Good and Evil 2,” ‘Machi Basad’ is a track with a political message that celebrates the power of a new generation and its potential to be better than the last,” the statement reads. “Outside the context of the game, this song is intended both as a tribute and a call to action. It’s a tribute to musicians and leaders who inspired people like ourselves to think and act in a way that will benefit everyone; to question an unjust system that serves a few at the cost of many. It’s a call to action for our generation to finish the work started by all those who came before us; to become the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back, and change the world for the better.”
‘Machi Basad’ is available now via iTunes. It is just the latest of the band’s songs. Bloodywood debuted the video for its song ‘Endurant‘ on Jan. 15. The band debuted the video for its song ‘Jee Veerey‘ in July and for ‘Ari Ari‘ in May.
