Up-and-coming independent rock band Saints of Destruction will release its new EP All Hail The Saints this summer, and in anticipation, debuted the video for the EP’s lead single this week.

The band debuted the video for its new single ‘Dream Of Pain’ Tuesday on its official YouTube channel.  The video, which finds the band’s members — Marc Adam Kahn (vocals), Kevin Somerville (guitar), Brian Radick (bass) and Chris Cwikla (drums) — performing the song against the backdrop of a natural cave type setting in a forest, originally premiered May 8 through

The song’s musical arrangement is a guitar-driven composition whose sound harkens back to the rock and roll opuses that bridged the sounds of the late 80s and early 90s.  that is evident in the stylistic approach and the heaviness in the overall instrumentation.

The band discussed the song’s lyrical theme in a collective statement, noting that the lyrical theme just by chance is related to everything going on in the world today.

“We wrote “Dream of Pain” and two other songs the first night we got in the rehearsal room in September,” the statement reads. “The verse and chorus came out instantaneously with the lyrics pretty much intact. This was all pre-pandemic and we all looked back to September saying oh shit we wrote these semi predictive songs. One could interpret certain parts of it being akin to our current situation but it was loosely written about a totalitarian turned regime. Essentially about two idiotic sides fighting while zombies sneak in and wipe out everyone. So maybe we’re in for that next but hopefully the zombies are the slow ones, not World War Z.”

‘Dream of Pain’ is available to stream and download here.
