Trapt debuted the video for one of its recently released singles this week.
The band debuted the lyric video for its new song ‘Make It Out Alive‘ Thursday. The song is featured on the band’s forthcoming album Shadow Work, which is scheduled for release July 3 through The Label Group/INgrooves.
The band’s new single places its melodic rock arrangement and lyrics against a backdrop of what is meant to look like battleground setting. A tattered American flag waves in the air while the sun sets in the background. Bullets are used as virtual place marks for the lines in the song’s chorus while the lyrics presented in the verses surround the flag and its pole.
Front man Chris Taylor Brown talked about the song’s lyrical theme in a recent interview.
“Make It Out Alive” was the last song written for our new album “Shadow Work” and I hope it inspires people to never give up,” he said. “Times can get so tough and it can be easy to just want to let go of all the struggle. But I think the struggles we go through define us. Each crisis we go through, staring into an abyss of the unknown, makes us stronger when we come out the other side. I know that we will come out stronger, as a country and as a world, through the current crisis we find ourselves battling and every other crisis that comes our way in the future. We always do!”
Along with the video for its new single, Trapt also recently debuted the single ‘Tell Me How You Really Feel‘ alongside ‘Make It Out Alive‘ in audio-only format.
Pre-orders for Shadow Work are open now.
