Hannah Williams & The Affirmations debuted the video for its cover of Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box‘ this week.
The band debuted the video Thursday. It is composed of footage sent to the band by its fans. From a couple enjoying some time on the water, to another couple dancing to even man working on his motorcycle and more, the footage shows the diversity of the group’s fan base. the video was directed and post-produced by Emma Holbrook.
The video’s premiere comes more than a month after the band debuted its cover of the song by itself.
The group discussed the song in a prepared statement at the time of the song’s debut.
“This release is an ode to the world and its struggles,” the statement reads. “A nod to the past but also a move into the future, and most of all a tribute to all the amazing people who continue to not only support our band but also all the important messaging and movements we try to encourage through our art and influence.”
The debut of the group’s cover of ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ by itself came three months after the group debuted the video for its then latest single, ‘Hourglass.’ ‘Hourglass’ is the third single from Hannah Williams & The Affirmations’ latest album 50 Foot Woman.
The album also produced the singles ‘I Feel It‘ and ‘50 Foot Woman.’ The latter of the pair was also featured in Ifiniti’s recent campaign for its QX30 car.
