Metal super group Wreck-Defy debuted the video for its latest single this week.
The band — Matt Hanchuck, Aaron Dandall (ex-Annihilator), Greg Christian (ex-Testamant), Alex Marquez (ex-Malevolent Creation) — debuted the lyric video for its new single ‘Skin‘ Thursday. The song is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming album Powers That Be, which is scheduled for release Oct. 9 through SubLevel Records. Pre-orders for Powers That Be are open now.
The video couples the song’s clearly socially conscious lyrics with imagery such as military forces in gas masks, people protesting, and two hands with different color fist bumping. The imagery is used to illustrate the song’s message of unity overcoming the world’s divisions.
The song’s musical arrangement is a composition that will appeal to any thrash metal purist, with its fiery guitar work, soaring vocals, precision time keeping and rich bass work.
Powers That Be is the third full-length studio recording from Wreck-Defy. It will come less than a year after the release of the band’s sophomore album, Remnants of Pain.
