Between the Buried and Me will re-issue another of its albums next month.

The band is scheduled to release its 2005 album Alaska Sept. 25 though Craft Recordings. The re-issue is part of the band’s ongoing 20th anniversary celebration of its founding.

Alaska‘s re-issue will come on a 2LP vinyl set.  Its release will come more than two months after Craft Recordings re-issued the band’s sophomore album The Silent Circus and more than four months after the label re-issued the band’s 2002 debut self-titled album.

Front man Tommy Rogers discussed the album’s re-issue in a recent interview.

“The new mix has really reconfirmed how much I enjoy this album,” he said. “The Alaska era was a huge turning point for the band, and I think this album now sounds how we originally intended it to. Hopefully, our fans will reconnect with the album in a new way like I have. Regardless, I’m extremely excited for the world to hear these songs!”

Bassist Dan Briggs also commented on the album’s re-issue.

“This record was written while three of us were under 21 and only one of us was old enough to rent a car in any of the 50 states,” said Briggs. “We wrote it in [drummer] Blake’s [Richardson] old bedroom in his parents’ basement and recorded it in [producer] Jamie King’s parents’ basement. Now it has been remixed in Jamie’s current basement and we are old and still playing in Blake’s parents’ basement.”

Richardson said in his own comments, that he was also looking forward to the album’s re-issue.

“I’m really excited for everyone to hear this record with a drum tone that doesn’t sound like the bottom snare mic was blasted to 500 percent,” he said.
