Independent hard rock band Awaken’s long awaited new album Monsters & Machines may finally see the light of day.

Originally planned for release in July, the album’s initial release date was pushed back due to unforeseen circumstances.  The band made the announcement in July on its official Facebook page.  This week though, The Label group announced the band has signed a deal with the company that also features a distribution deal through INgrooves.

While the new deal was announced by the company Tuesday, a new released date for the album was not revealed.  That information is under consideration.

As audiences await word on the new official release date for Monsters & Machines, they can take in the band’s latest single ‘Behemoth’ and its companion lyric video.  The video debuted in May.  It features the band’s lyrics alongside a cyborg type creature as the song plays over the visuals.

The song’s musical arrangement is a heavy work that incorporates electronics and heavy guitars, drums and bass for a sound that will appeal to fans of bands, such as Spineshank, 10 years, and Chevelle.  That sound couples with the song’s equally strong lyrical theme to add to its appeal.

The song’s lyrical content, which is provided in print with the song’s lyric video, hints at someone who is dealing with his/her own inner demons.  As the song’s subject is dealing with that inner battle, he/she is also seeming to reach out, asking for help, which is what people need to do any time they are dealing with their own inner struggles.  That will make the song even more accessible for audiences.

‘Behemoth’ is available to stream and download here.
