Punk band The Casket Lottery debuted the video for its latest single this week.

The band debuted the video for its single ‘Born Lonely‘ Tuesday.  The song is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming album Short Songs For End Times, which is scheduled for release Nov. 6 through Wiretap Records (US), Big Scary Monsters (UK) and Second Nature Recordings.  The album is the band’s first new studio recording in eight years.

The band is scheduled to debut the song by itself today.

The video features what is meant to look like vintage footage of an astronaut going through vigorous testing before heading into space.  It also features real vintage footage of a NASA rocket in space.  The band’s song plays over the footage.

The song’s musical arrangement is a presentation that will appeal just as much to the band’s longtime fans as it will to those who are less familiar with the band’s catalog.  That is due to the joining of the gritty vocal delivery style of front man Nathan Ellis, the guitar work of Terrence Vitali and the collective work of bassist Stacy Hilt and drummer Jason Trabue.  That content couples with the song’s lyrical content, which will connect with listeners in its own way, to make the song appealing to a wide range of listener.

Pre-orders are open for Short Songs for End Times.  The album’s track listing is noted below.

Track listing

1. You Are A Knife

2. Big Heart/Closed Mind

3. More Blood

4. Sisyphus Blues

5. Born Lonely

6. Unalone
