The Casket Lottery debuted the video for its latest single this week.

The band debuted the video for its new single ‘More Blood‘ Tuesday. The song and its single are the second from the band’s forthcoming album Short Songs For End Times. The Casket Lottery debuted the album’s lead single ‘Born Lonely‘ Sept. 8

Short Songs For End Times is scheduled for release Nov. 6 through Wiretap Records (US), Big Scary Monsters (UK) and Second Nature Recordings.  The album is the band’s first new studio recording in eight years.

Front man Nathan Ellis talked about the creation of ‘More Blood’ in a recent interview.

“‘More Blood’ was the first idea that showed up complete for Short Songs for End Times,” he said. “One minute it didn’t exist and in the next I sat down with my guitar, bass and microphone at the computer and within 15 minutes had the complete demo. The song knew what it had to say and I just received it. It’s a song about knowing what you offer the world and choosing to work on that instead of ignoring it.”

The video for ‘More Blood’ features the band’s new single playing over footage from the classic 1922 vampire movie Nosferatu. Musically speaking, the song’s arrangement is similar to that of ‘Born Lonely,’ though there is some slight variation between the songs’ arrangements.

‘More Blood’ is available to stream and download here. Vinyl pre-orders for The Casket Lottery’s new album are open. The album’s track listing is noted below.
