Mother nature is causing a change in the ESPN networks’ college football coverage this weekend.
Hurricane Delta’s expected impact along the Gulf Coast has caused the networks to make some programming shifts, including moving one of its two headline games — No. 2 Alabama and Ole Miss — to a later time. Instead of 6 p.m., coverage is now scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will still air on ESPN.
Saturday’s other headliner, No. 7 Miami and No. 1 Clemson remains scheduled to air at 7:30 p.m. on ABC. The game is the network’s weekly Saturday Night Football presented by Capital One game.
Other games that are moving due to Hurricane Delta are: Missouri and No. 17 LSU; Louisiana-Monroe at Liberty; Coastal Carolina at No. 23 Louisiana; Arkansas at No. 13 Auburn, and No. 4 Florida at No. 21 Texas A&M.
No. 2 Alabama at Ole Miss
Originally scheduled to air at 6 p.m. on ESPN, the game will now play at 7:30 p.m. ET. It will still air on ESPN and remain part of the ESPN networks’ weekly double header alongside No. 7 Miami at No. 1 Clemson, which will itself air on ABC at 7 p.m.
LSU vs. No. 17 LSU
Missouri at LSU was originally scheduled to air at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN, but has now moved up to noon ET. It will run on the SEC Network Alternate and the ESPN App instead of ESPN.
The game site will also move. It will move from Baton Rouge, LA to Columbia, MO. Even with the move, LSU is still considered the home team for the game. This game will re-air at 4 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
LOUISIANA-MONROE AT LIBERTY
Louisiana-Monroe at Liberty was originally scheduled to take place at noon Saturday on ESPNU. Now due to Hurricane Delta, it has shifted to ESPN2 instead of ESPNU and will remain in its noon ET time slot.
COASTAL CAROLINA AT NO. 23 LOUISIANA
The Chanticleers and Ragin’ Cajuns were originally scheduled to square off at noon on ESPN2. That game is now shifted to 7:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 14. It will air on ESPN.
ARKANSAS AT No. 13 AUBURN
The Razorbacks and Tigers were originally scheduled to run at 4 p.m. ET on the SEC Network. The game’s time slot will stay the same, but the game will get an even wider audience as it moves to ESPN.
No. 4 FLORIDA AT No. 21 TEXAS A&M
The network for the Gators/Aggies game was originally a toss-up between ESPN and ESPNU. Now with the mother nature causing so many shifts, the game is now confirmed for noon on ESPN.
