Independent alt-rock artist Ty Trehern debuted the video for his latest single this week.

Treyhern debuted the lyric video for his new single, ‘Sleep‘ Friday. The single is the third from Treyhern’s forthcoming album Dear Dichotomy, which is scheduled for release Oct. 23. Its debut follows the premiere of two other singles from the album, ‘Better Off‘ and ‘The Air.’

The video places the lyrics over a visual of a pair of hands, which themselves are set over a blue background. The hand change shape throughout the song, whose musical arrangement is a brooding composition. Treyhern’s vocals are half-whispered along with the brooding guitar arrangement. It is a work that will appeal to fans of In Parallel.

The brooding musical arrangement featured in Treyhern’s new single works well with its lyrical content, which Treyhern discussed in a recent interview with American Songwriter.

“Lyrically, the song focuses on a very specific byproduct of the conflict that comes along with having internal differences: quite literally being kept awake at night by that conflict and the overarching anxiety that comes with it,” he said.

‘Sleep’ is available to stream and download here. Pre-orders for Dear Dichotomy are open.
