Independent hard rock band Dead By Wednesday is taking on the current state of the nation.

The band debuted its new single ‘S.O.S.‘ and its lyric video Oct. 5. The video presents the band performing its new single in separate settings while the song’s lyrics appear on screen.

Speaking of the song’s lyrics, drummer Opus had the following to say about the song.

“We are legitimately pissed,” he said. “Frustrations are high for musicians, as well as most people around the world, and we use our music as an outlet. That’s why it really sounds angry – because we are! We’ve also come to realize who we are as a band during this unwanted time off, so we went deep and heavy! It’s fast, lean and mean – perfect for the times.”

“’S.O.S.’ also shows brotherhood among different races,” added Opus. “It has a strong message. I believe this tune will not only attract a whole new audience, but I also feel like this will please some of the old school DEAD BY WEDNESDAY fans as well.”

The song’s ferocious musical arrangement is a work that appeal to fans of bands, such as Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying, with its screaming vocals and chainsaw sharp guitar work.
