Independent rock band Evandale returned this month with its latest single.

The band debuted its new single ‘Little Sista’ Oct. 15 through Sofa King Cool Magazine. The song, which is the follow-up to the band’s then latest single ‘The Storm,’ and its predecessor ‘Black Heart Southern Woman‘ is featured in the band’s forthcoming album All or Nothing.

The musical arrangement featured in the band’s new single takes a melodic hard rock approach with its heavy guitar line, powerful vocals and drums, and bass line. The lyrical content that accompanies the song’s musical content focuses on people who are dealing with their own issues.

The band talked about that topic during its interview with Sofa King Cool Magazine.

“’Little Sista’ is an acknowledgment and apology in some way to a person who is their own worst enemy; someone who knows they are no good for themselves but also can’t be helped by anyone else,” the band said.  “The song isn’t necessarily about any one person or experience, we just noticed a lot of people in our world now are consumed by substances of some kind. People struggling with addictions, choices, or even insecurities; and a lot of those people know they have issues but you can’t help them if they don’t want to help themselves. That’s kind of the basis of the whole song.”

Along with streaming through Sofa King Cool Magazine, the band is also streaming the song’s lyric video through its official YouTube channel.

‘Little Sista’ is available to stream and download here.
