Clutch is going back to the Doom Saloon again.
The band announced Tuesday, it will host its third “Live From The Doom Saloon” livestream show Dec. 18. The concert’s 15-song set list will come from the band’s fans, just like the set list from the series’ second concert, which the band hosted Aug. 7.
Front man Neil Fallon talked about the fan involvement in that set list and that of the upcoming show during a recent interview.
“The Doom Saloon Volume 2 set was written by a fan” said Fallon. “We had over 4000 set list submissions. We were able to see what songs were the most requested and for Doom Saloon Volume 3 we will play the fifteen most requested songs from Doom Saloon Volume 2’s set list requests. It could be thought of as a greatest hits set as per the fans.”
According to a previous statement from Fallon, fans chose songs from Clutch’s extensive catalog “from every release starting from our 1991 Pitchfork 7” all the way thru Book of Bad Decisions and the songs from our Vault Series” for the 14-song set list for the Doom Saloon Volume 2 show. One fan was chosen from the fan votes to have his or her set list as the featured presentation for the concert.

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Save Our Stages, a nonprofit whose aim is to save the more than 3,000 live venues across America that host live concerts. The agency is working with elected officials in Washington, D.C. to get legislation passed to provide financial aid to those venues. The venues were among the first businesses to close during the pandemic and are expected to be the last to re-open once the pandemic ends.
Clutch’s forthcoming livestream show comes on the heels of the recent release of its new compilation record The Weathermaker Vault Series: Volume 1. The record is available now.
