Independent record label Wienerworld will continue its ongoing Down Home Blues series of releases next week.
The label will release the series’ next recording Dec. 18 in the form of Down Home Blues: Miami, Atlanta &The South Eastern States. The forthcoming compilation follows the release of the label’s other collections in the series, Down Home Blues: Detroit Special, Down Home Blues: Chicago Fine Boogie, Down Home Blues: Chicago Vol. 2 — Sweet Home Chicago, and Down Home Blues: New York, Cincinnati & The Northeastern States — Tough Enough.
Down Home Blues: Miami, Atlanta & The South Eastern States features 83 songs spread across three discs. A 78-page companion booklet accompanies the collection. the booklet features an essay crafted by blues historian Chris Bentley.
Additionally, a series of rare photographs is also featured in the companion booklet. Liner notes and an extensive collection of 78 and 45 labels also feature in the booklet.
