Punk band Total Massacre debuted its new single this week along with the single’s companion video.

The band debuted its new single ‘Get Rich Or Try Dying‘ Monday along with the song’s companion video. The video features imagery such as Wall Street signs, the grim reaper driving a hearse, and skeletons surfing on piles of money as the song’s garage punk style song plays. The imagery is used to help translate the song’s lyrical message, which addresses the lack of importance that the band says the powers that be put on people.

Front man Cap’n No Fun discussed the noted lyrical theme during a recent interview.

“‘Get Rich or Try Dying’ started like most of our songs do, with a suggestion for a funny song title (this time from our drummer Tommy) combined with the unshakeable sense that literally everything has been fundamentally stacked against us,” he said. “So not exactly new territory for us as far as songwriting goes but I feel like this one does a good job honing in on one of the really important points that I think is pretty important, and all too easily overlooked: That our lives are the commodity that is being bought and sold.”
