A new live recording from The Allman Brothers is coming.
Down in Texas ’71 is scheduled for release March 26, it will release on CD and digital. Additionally, it will also be available for purchase physically at The Big House Museum gift shop.
Originally recorded Sept. 28, 1971 at the Austin Municipal Auditorium, the set list features nine songs, such as ‘Statesboro Blues,’ ‘Stormy Monday,’ and ‘In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.’ Additionally, the recording’s CD presentation will feature a radio interview with band members Berry Oakley and Duane Allman that was recorded only months ahead of the concert.

Proceeds from the exclusive release will benefit the Allman Brothers Band Museum. The museum is housed inside The Big House in Macon, GA. The band members, their roadies, and friends lived in the building from 1970-’73, the band’s formative years.
