Audiences will get a double dose of The Allman Brothers Band live later this month.
A news release distributed Monday announced that the band will re-issue its live recording, Live at Great Woods Sept. 6, 1991 on DVD March 26. The DVD’s release will come alongside the release of the band’s audio-only release of Down in Texas ’71, which will release the same day on digital and CD.
The Live at Great Woods concert featured the lineup of Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Jaimoe, and Butch Trucks as the primary members. Derek Trucks (The Derek Trucks Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band), Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule), Allen Woody, and Marc Quinones joined the band for the performance.
The archived, previously out-of-print recording’s concert was in support of the band’s then latest album, Shades of Two Worlds. The concert features performances of songs, such as ‘End of the Line,’ ‘Going Down The Road Feeling Bad,’ and ‘Blue Sky.’ The recording’s track listing is noted below.
