Punk rock band Lost in Society premiered the lead single from its new EP this week.
The band debuted its new single, ‘Say Anything‘ Thursday. The song is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming EP, Stay Jaded, which is scheduled for release June 18 through Wiretap Records.
The musical arrangement featured in ‘Say Anything’ is a driving composition. The combination of the instrumentation and front man Zach Moyle’s vocals lend the song to comparison to works from Rancid.
According to comments from Moyle, the song’s lyrical theme centers on a relationship-related topic.
“Recorded mid-quarantine, ‘Say Anything’ is the first song written and produced in our own studio space,” he said. “The song covers the anxiety of opening up and showing vulnerability in a relationship. I tend to have a habit of shutting down when faced with difficult conversations, so this song hits on those frustrating moments.”
