Dropkick Murphys and Rancid will tour together this summer.
The bands are schedule to launch what has been dubbed the “Boston to Berkeley II Tour” Aug. 2 in Waite Park, MN. The tour is scheduled to run more than a month and wind down Oct. 16 in Los Angeles, CA. It features performances in cities, such as Corpus Christie, TX; Gilford, NH and Palo Alto, CA.
DKM front man Ken Casey said in a prepared statement that he and his band mates are looking forward to getting back out in front of audiences.
“Can’t wait to get back out there and kick the touring door open again,” he said. “This is a great lineup and we are gonna take the country by storm.”
Rancid front man Tim Armstrong shared Casey’s anticipation.
“Looking forward to hitting the road with the Dropkick Murphys again for the second edition of our Boston To Berkeley Tour,” said Armstrong. “Our good buddies The Bronx will be joining us on tour as well. See ya in the pit!”
Dropkick Murphys’ upcoming live dates are in support of its latest album, Turn Up That Dial. The album was released last month through its own label, Born and Bred Records.
