TessaracT is bringing its PORTALS livestreaming concert to the masses again.
The band is scheduled to release the concert, which it livestreamed Dec. 12, to a variety of platforms Aug 27 through KScope Records. The label also released the band’s then latest album, Sonder in 2018.
The career-spanning 2020 concert featured songs from across the band’s catalog, which spans four albums and one EP. The 14-song set ran more than two hours.
Bassist Amos Williams said during a recent interview, the concert was a positive experience for the band.
“It is only with hindsight and some time to appreciate it that we realize what this show meant to us,” said Williams. “P O R T A L S as a show was an experiment afforded to us in a time when anything was possible because nothing of our previous life was possible. The overwhelming acceptance of such an approach to our music, and the stories contained within it, has shown us a potential path forward for TesseracT. It was exciting to connect with our fan base in such a difficult time for everyone, and it was powerful to see how it allowed some respite and escapism. These things were the gifts that this show gave to us, a direction and a drive, as we use this show’s example to forge a new path for TesseracT.”
Pre-orders are open for the forthcoming recording through band’s official website while other retailers will open re-orders Friday. It will release through a variety of platforms noted below. A trailer for the recording is streaming here.
