The Deadnotes premiered its latest single and video this week.

The duo released its new single, ‘Easy Summer‘ and its video Monday. The song’s musical arrangement is a sort of pop punk style composition. To a point, it throws back to the pop punk of the late 90s and early 2000s. That is evidenced in the vocal harmonies in the chorus and in its pairing with the guitars.

No information was provided about the lyrical theme that accompanies the song’s musical content in the press release distributed about the song. However, a close listen reveals that the lyrical theme that accompanies the song’s musical arrangement is meant to send a positive, uplifting message of hope.

The song’s video features the duo in a variety of situations, such as playing tennis, enjoying a ride in a car, and atop a tower of sorts. The visuals, it would seem, are meant to help translate the song’s lyrical theme of enjoying life’s good things.

In other news, The Deadnotes have announce a new tour schedule.
