Confused is giving audiences yet another “taste” of its new album.
The band premiered the video for its latest single, ‘I Want A Beer’ Friday through nextmosh.com. The song is the third single from the band’s forthcoming album, Riot, which is scheduled for release Aug. 27. Pre-orders are open.
The premiere of ‘I Want A Beer’ and its video came approximately two weeks after the band debuted the video for the album’s second single, ‘Our Flag’ through metalunderground.com. The band premiered the album’s lead single, ‘Get Wasted‘ July 9.
The musical arrangement featured in ‘I Want A Beer’ is relatively simple. It is a hard-driving punk style composition complete with semi-screaming vocals, sharp guitar and bass, and equally strong drums. The arrangement is easily likened to works from the likes of M.O.D., Agnostic Front, and D.R.I.
The lyrical theme featured in this latest offering from Confused is simple in its own right. It is sung from the standpoint of someone who…well…wants a beer. On another level, one could argue that considering the overall theme of Confused’s new album, this could also be a not so subtle commentary about alcoholism and someone just wanting to get drunk for the sake of it. Though, not overly probable, it is at least somewhat possible.
The video for ‘I Want A Beer’ is also simple in its presentation. It is an animated presentation that features people drinking, fighting, and passing out.
