Fuel offered its audiences another preview of its forthcoming album this week.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Don’t Say I‘ Thursday. The song is the second single from the band’s forthcoming album, Anomaly, which is scheduled for release in October. Its official release date is under consideration. Its premiere Thursday came more than a month after the band premiered the album’s lead single, ‘Hard‘ through Loudwire.

Fuel’s established audiences will instantly recognize the musical arrangement featured in ‘Don’t Say I.’ It is a steady, flowing hard rock ballad, the likes of which the band has crafted in its existing catalog. At the same time, it maintains its own identity separate from those works.

In regards to the song’s lyrical theme, it proves just as accessible. It takes on the all too familiar topic of relationships. In this case, it is a person professing his/her love for another. At the same time, there is some seeming frustration as the song’s subject discourages that other person from saying, “I.” This is key to many relationship problems, people saying “I” more than “we” as a means to overcome relationship concerns. To that end, it leaves no question as to the accessibility of the song’s lyrical theme.
