The Dollyrots will open 2022 with a new collection of music.
The band announced through a news release Wednesday, it is scheduled to release its new compilation record, Down The Rabbit Hole Jan. 7 through Wicked Cool Records. The 24-song collection is a compilation of b-sides and rarities from the band, as well as covers performed by the band.
In anticipation of the record’s pending release, The Dollyrots premiered the lyric video for one of the record’s tracks, ‘Just Like All The Rest‘ Tuesday. The song features a catchy arrangement that is grounded in it bass and guitar lines. They and the vocals of singer Kelly Ogden join with equally rich sound of the drums to make the whole a work that will appeal equally to pop punk and rock fans alike.
The lyrical theme in this song is straight forward. It about a woman who is looking for a man who has certain standards and as she sings, “won’t settle for less.” It is an empowering message for the group’s female audiences.
