Independent rock band Deaf Lingo will release its new album, Lingonberry next year.

The album is scheduled for release in spring, with an exact release date under consideration. It will release through Lovely Records, as the band just recently signed a new deal with the label.

In anticipation of the album’s release, the band premiered the record’s lead single, ‘Sleeping‘ Friday. The song’s musical arrangement is interesting in its own right. It blends elements of garage rock, punk and even some stoner influence for a whole that holds its own. One could even argue that there is a touch of a country rock vibe about the arrangement, too, making for even more interest.

No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the press release announcing the album’s pending release and the song’s debut. No lyrics are presented with the song through the band’s official YouTube channel, either.

  1. here are the lyrics:
    take your time
    we are not leaving
I’ll give you something, maybe, later
    hold on tight
    we are still floating
I’ll give you something, maybe, later
I’ll give you something, maybe, or i won’t
    we’ll sink together anyway
this is our fate, our destiny
    I don’t feel bad, I don’t feel good.
we came up together then we split up
I am concerned but not surprised.
    I don’t feel bad, I don’t feel good.
