Independent hard rock band 3 Years Hollow premiered its latest single and video over the weekend.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Breaking Sound‘ and its companion video Friday. The song’s musical arrangement is a heavy, melodic rock style arrangement. The combination of the vocals and instrumentation makes it comparable to works from so many of the band’s more well-known mainstream melodic hard rock acts whose music is being played at active rock stations nationwide.

No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the press release announcing the song and video’s premiere. The lyrics provided with the song’s video infer a theme of someone battling emotionally with himself/herself. To a point, there is almost an inference of someone having a crisis of faith. That is just this critic’s own interpretation and should not be taken as the only interpretation.

The video that accompanies ‘Breaking Sound’ is a familiar style presentation. It features the band performing its new single on a sound stage. Lighting and various editing and video effects are used to heighten the video’s engagement and entertainment value.
