Aeir Debuts New Single, Maps Out New Album Release; Festival Schedule Underway

Independent rock band Aeir debuted its new single and video this week.

The band unveiled its new single, ‘Body‘ and the song’s companion lyric video Wednesday. The song debuted through Perkins Palace Records, the label of Jane’s Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins.

The song’s debut follows that of the band’s debut single, ‘Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em,’ which the band debuted in October. The band said of the song that it its message is a socio-politically charged message about American politics, big oil, and majr corporations.

Where the band’s debut single boasts a clear comparison to works from Jane’s Addiction, ‘Body’ is a more subdued composition. The reserved vocal delivery style of front man Lucas Esterline and the instrumentation comes together to make the song more akin to works from Isle of Q.

The lyrical theme featured in ‘Body’ is straight forward, according to the band.

“Let’s be blunt about it,” the band said in a statement. “This song is about our love of women and the joy of sex.”
