Angels and Airwaves premiered its latest single and video this week.
The band debuted the visualizer for its new single ‘Restless Souls’ Tuesday. The song and its video are the second from the band’s forthcoming album, Lifeforms, following the premiere of the album’s lead single, ‘Euphoria‘ and its video in May. The band announced through a news release Tuesday, the album is scheduled for release Sept. 29.
The musical arrangement featured in AAW’s new single bears a slight hint of an 80s pop rock influence. One can argue to a point that it bears some similarity to works from the likes of Duran Duran.
The lyrical theme featured alongside the song’s musical arrangement is theological and uplifting according to a statement from front man Tom DeLonge.
“’Restless Souls’ in many ways is a honest letter from God to humanity – because life seems to always be looking for ways to inspire, clarify and teach us when things become more difficult,” he said.
In other news, Angels and Airwaves is scheduled to launch a tour in support of its new album July 31 at the annual Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, IL. The tour is scheduled to run through March 22, 2022 and features performances in cities worldwide, such as Leeds, UK; Nashville, TN and Phoenix, AZ.
