Artifas Debuts ‘Leave Me For Dead’ Video

Courtesy: Imagen Records/Warner Music Group

Artifas debuted the video for its latest single last week.

The band premiered the video for its new single, ‘Leave Me For Dead‘ Sept. 23. The debut came less than a week after the band premiered the song by itself. The song is featured in the band’s forthcoming album, Reflections, which is scheduled for release Nov. 19 through Imagen Records. The band premiered the album’s lead single, ‘Cut Me Out‘ and its companion video last month.

The video is an intriguing presentation. It features the band performing its new single in an open field and crosses that with the band digging graves, into each member is buried. It is meant to artistically translate the message in the song’s lyrical theme.

The band addressed the song’s lyrical theme in a recently released statement.

“‘Leave Me For Dead’ is a song about abandonment and the struggle to overcome the emotions associated with it,” the statement reads. “We’ve all had that person in our lives that we trusted, just to find out that they would leave us for dead when things got tough. This song is about just being in disbelief over something like that and the internal battle that follows when you’re left in doubt…”

The musical arrangement featured in Artifas’ new single is a blend of emo- and metalcore. That is evidenced in the heavy guitar breakdowns and balance of screams and clean vocals.

Artifas Debuts New Single, ‘Leave Me For Dead’

Artifas is giving audiences another preview of its debut album.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Leave Me For Dead‘ Friday. The song is the second single from the band’s forthcoming album, Reflections, which is scheduled for release Nov. 19 through Imagen Records. The band premiered the album’s lead single, ‘Cut Me Out‘ and its companion video last month.

The musical arrangement featured in Artifas’ new single is a blend of emo- and metalcore. That is evidenced in the heavy guitar breakdowns and balance of screams and clean vocals.

The lyrical theme featured along with the new single’s musical arrangement takes on the topic of broken relationships. That is not limited to romantic relationships, either, according to a statement from the band about that theme.

“‘Leave Me For Dead’ is a song about abandonment and the struggle to overcome the emotions associated with it,” the statement reads. “We’ve all had that person in our lives that we trusted, just to find out that they would leave us for dead when things got tough. Artifas Debuts ‘Cut Me Out’ Video

Courtesy: Imagen Records

Hard rock band Artifas debuted the video for its new single this week.

The band premiered the video for its recently debuted single, ‘Cut Me Out‘ Thursday. The video’s premiere came less than a week after the band premiered the song, which is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming album, Reflections. The album is scheduled for release Nov. 19 through Imagen Records.

The video for ‘Cut Me Out’ is a relatively simple presentation. It features the band performing its new single on a stage setting. The setting in question is meant to reflect what the band would look like in a live setting. It is bolstered by a frenetic series of shots of the band throughout the song.

The musical arrangement featured in the song is a melodic hard rock style arrangement. The combination of the vocals and instrumentation lends itself to comparison to works from Stabbing Westward to a point.

According to comments made in a prepared statement from the band, the song’s lyrical theme centers on dealing with toxic relationships. That includes relationships with family, friends, and others.

“‘Cut Me Out’ is about cutting toxic people out of your life,” the statement reads. “Sometimes the most toxic people around you are the ones that are not so easily removed. At some point you have to stand up and say enough is enough, cut me out. The artwork for this record is all about reflection. Whether it’s someone in a dark place reflecting the poor decisions made, or whether someone is reflecting the beauty of the world on front of them.”
