Independent rock band Blue Hour Ghosts debuted the video for its latest single this week.

The band debuted the video for its new single ‘On Black Clouds‘ Tuesday. The song and its video are the second from the band’s forthcoming album Due, which is scheduled for release Feb. 12.

Its premiere follows that of the album’s lead single, ‘Walking Backwards.’ that song is available to stream and download through Spotify and Apple Music.

The video for the band’s new single features the band performing its new single against a stylized backdrop complete with corrugated metal wall and leaves covering the ground. A variety of video effects and camera angles is used to heighten the emotion in the melodic hard rock style musical arrangement featured in the song.

The lyrical theme featured alongside the song’s musical arrangement is discussed in a statement from the band.

“The song is a fast-paced run about how fast things go by and everything changes all of a sudden, and how ready we should be for this; the tension accumulates and then drops down in the cathartic refrain, where we let ourselves be carried away by insubstantial black clouds, foretelling a darker sky to come, rolling past present days,” the statement reads.

‘On Black Clouds’ is available to stream through Spotify.

Due will be Blue Hour Ghosts’ second full-length studio recording and third overall recording. the band released its self-titled debut through Built2Kill Records in 2016. The live recording Do You Believe in Ghosts? followed in 2018, also through Built2Kill Records.

T-Rex Marathon Debuts ‘A Prison Just For Us’ Lyric Video

Courtesy: Asher Media Relations

T-Rex Marathon debuted a new video for its single ‘A Prison Just For Us’ last week.

The band debuted the lyric video for the single Nov. 12 through punknews.org. Its premiere comes less than two months after the band debuted the single by itself through IdiotEQ. The lyric video places the song’s lyrics over a backdrop of a cloudy sky and occasional raindrops as the song plays over the imagery.

The second single from the band’s latest recording, Days Without Incident — it followed the release of the album’s lead single, ‘Faux News‘ — ‘A Prison Just For Us’ takes on the very serious topic of abusive relationships.  The song’s lyrics make this clear as they note how one partner in the relationship has taken the other for granted and emotionally abused that person.

The heavy, guitar-driven arrangement will appeal to works from fans of similar acts, such as Alexisonfire, A Day To Remember, and Taking Back Sunday.  That is especially evident through the song’s equally heavy bass, guitar, and drums.

The band discussed the song’s arrangement in a prepared statement.

“This song was written as an homage of sorts to Canadian post-hardcore pioneers Alexisonfire,” the statement reads. “AoF was, and still is, a huge influence on this band’s music. This song is a band favourite because it stands apart from the other songs on the album, featuring an emphasis on atmosphere and ambiance rather than punchy energy. This song might sound a little different from the others, but we do think it’s a great song that we think will really resonate with our listeners!”

A previously released statement from the band about the song expands on the band’s latest statement.

“The structure and feel pay homage to AoF’s [Alexisonfire’s] track “Accidents” and if it were to be described in one word, it would be ‘atmosphere,’ the statement reads. “It’s the kind of song that with each listen, you’ll find something new, but it’s still kept catchy with a great chorus that’s easy to sing along to. It’s a song where we make use of interesting production techniques and slightly improvisational guitar parts as well as giving it a lot of breathing room live to stretch out and interact with the crowd.”

T-Rex Marathon debuted Days Without Incident‘s latest single ‘Sheltered’ and its video last month through thenewfury.com. Additionally, the band streamed its new album in full last month through v13.net only days ahead of its release. Days Without Incident is available now.

The track listing for Days Without Incident is noted below.

Track Listing:
1. All For Nothing (2:56)
2. No Words (4:56)
3. Faux News (3:05)
4. A Prison Just For Us (4:08)
5. Turnpike (4:06)
6. Pick Your Poison (4:58)
7. Misfits (4:24)
8. Sheltered (4:01)
9. Futures and Goodbyes (4:32)
10. 5 Centimeters Per Second (5:58)
Album Length: 43:09

T-Rex Marathon Streaming Its New Album In Full

Courtesy: Asher Media Relations

T-Rex Marathon is giving audiences the chance to hear its new album in full only days ahead of the album’s release.

The band is streaming its new album Days Without Incident in whole through v13.net. The album’s stream posting comes less than a month after the band debuted the album’s latest single, ‘Sheltered‘ its second single, ‘A Prison Just For Us,’ and the album’s lead single, ‘Faux News.’

The band addressed its new album in a prepared statement that reads in part, We couldn’t be happier with this album. It’s the culmination of many years of growth, and we’re over the moon to finally show it to people. T-Rex Marathon attempted many times to write a full album before. It just never felt quite right, but after years of a shuffling lineup, changes in sound, and other roadblocks, we have a product we are incredibly proud of.

The statement continues, noting, “We have been described as many things, but one word kept coming up: Nostalgic. We had people from all over come and tell us that our music reminded them of their high school days. We were reminiscent of the music that introduced them in the communities they’re a part of today. We wanted to make an album that would feel familiar, yet novel. This album is a love letter to the bands that inspired us and a monument to the places we intend to go.”

The statement adds, “

This album has something for everyone. As the five of us in the band, all come from different musical backgrounds, from punk to metal to musical theatre, this album covers a lot of ground, yet doesn’t feel like it’s drawn thin. But at the end of the day, we’re storytellers. We wanted to make a product that asks to be taken seriously, that demands active listening, that deserves your attention. We hope that everyone else loves listening to it as much as we do.”

Days Without Incident is scheduled for release Oct. 16.  Pre-orders are open.

Courtesy: Asher Media Relations/Fiend Records

Independent hard rock band Abandoned Souls debuted its new single this week.

The band debuted the single ‘Blinding Darkness’ Thursday through v13.net, one day before making the song available worldwide. The song is the band’s first new single since 2017. Its musical arrangement is a heavy, melodic hard rock composition that will appeal to fans of bands, such as Godmsack, Three Days Grace, and Alter Bridge.

The lyrical content featured in the band’s brand new single was written following the death of front man James Todd’s mother. He explained the connection in a recent interview.

“The song is about facing the reality of death or dark times and dealing with it,” he said. “It’s also learning to maneuver through the darkness and finding a way to be more comfortable within that space. To realize that you need to face it head-on sometimes and learn how to live and prosper from the experience of getting through these times.”

Abandoned Souls has released four albums and one EP since its formation in 2006. more information on those records is available along with more information on the band’s new single and all of its latest news at:

Courtesy: Asher Media Relations

Independent prog-rock band Illuminate Minerva debuted the latest single from its new album this week.

The arrangement is accompanied by the recollection of a man’s alleged alien abduction in 1970 in Canada.  The band talked about the recollection in a prepared statement.

“Two bros, one alien abduction,” the statement reads. “A musical retelling of Charles Hickson’s account of his abduction on the Pascagoula River. Progressive movements mixed technical riffs recount the mind-blowing tale of these two friends.”

Lufeh Debuts ‘Trial of Escapade’ Video

Courtesy: Asher Media Relations

Lufeh debuted the video for the eighth and last song from its new album this week.

The band debuted the video for its song ‘Trial of Escapade‘ Monday.  The song is taken from the band’s debut album Luggage Falling Down.  It rounds out the album’s eight-song run, and comes on the heels of the debut of the album’s most recent single, ‘End of the Road.’

As with the videos for each of the album’s other songs, this video also features the band performing in what is meant to reflect a live setting.  The song’s musical arrangement takes influences from Dream Theater circa 1997.  Though, the use of the keyboards, guitars and bass also could lend itself to comparisons to some of Dream Theater’s much more vintage material.

The band talked about the song’s musical arrangement in a prepared statement.

“’Trial of Escapade’ has a special mix of a funky groove with very dramatic vocals,” the statement reads. “Though much of the main riff and verse relies on a repeating 4-chord structure, you wouldn’t notice it on first listen due to the creative voicings of each of the chords and the variations they go through. This song’s chorus is one of the most memorable features of the whole album, and beautifully contrasts its moving bass lines and iconic guitar-bass unisons.”

The lyrical theme in this song seems to hint at the familiar topic of a personal relationship.  Its metaphorical language is not too complicated, so it will connect with listeners in its own right, too.

The other songs featured in Luggage Falling Down are ‘Doors,’ ‘Escape,’ ‘My World,’ ‘The Unknown,’ ‘Find My Way‘ and ‘The Edge.’

Lufeh Debuts ‘End Of The Road’ Video

Courtesy: Asher Media Relations

Lufeh debuted the video for its latest single over the weekend.

The band debuted the video for its song ‘End of the Road‘ Sunday.  The song and its video are the seventh from the band’s recently released debut album Luggage Falling Down.  Its debut follows the premiere of the videos for the album’s other songs, ‘Doors,’ ‘Escape,’ ‘My World,’ ‘The Unknown,’ ‘Find My Way‘ and ‘The Edge.’

As with each of the album’s other videos, this video finds the band performing its new single in what is meant to reflect a live setting.  The song differs from the band’s previous singles musically.  That is because this song’s arrangement lends itself more to comparisons to works from Spock’s Beard and Emerson, Lake & Palmer than Dream Theater and Haken, whose influences are also audible throughout the album.

The band talked about the song’s arrangement in a prepared statement.

“‘End of the Road’ is upbeat, catchy, and thrilling. Bass and keyboard counterpoint lead beautifully into a jazzy classic rock verse and chorus, but are interrupted by moments of heavy metal and of introspective soul-searching,” the statement reads.

The song’s lyrical content will appeal to its own share of audiences.

Luggage Falling Down is available to stream and download through SpotifyApple Music and Lufeh’s official Bandcamp page.  The album’s track list is noted below.

Track Listing:
1. Find My Way (4:25)
2. The Unknown (3:36)
3. Doors (4:06)
4. Trial of Escapade (4:24)
5. My World (4:52)
6. End of The Road (4:05)
7. Escape (4:03)
8. The Edge (4:04)
Album Length: 33:39

Lufeh Debuts ‘Escape’ Video

Courtesy: Asher Media Relations

Independent prog-rock band Lufeh debuted the video for its latest single this week.

The band debuted the video for its new single ‘Escape‘ Monday. The song is the latest single from the band’s debut album Luggage Falling Down.

Much as with the video for its predecessor — ‘My World‘ — this video places the band in a “live” setting as it performs its new single.  The song’s musical arrangement presents a sound that will appeal just as much to fans of Dream Theater as it will to Joe Satriani and even to Emerson Lake & Palmer with its guitar, keyboard and vocal lines.

A statement from the band explained that the song’s lyrical theme is meant to convey a message of introspection.

“Escape’ deals with the faith it takes to move out of a stagnant or unhealthy situation while still holding true to the values you identify with,” the statement reads. “In true ‘Luggage Falling Down’ fashion, this heavy subject is faced fearlessly and authentically with a groovy, upbeat charisma.”

Luggage Falling Down is available to stream and download through SpotifyApple Music and Lufeh’s official Bandcamp page.  The album’s track list is noted below.

1. Find My Way (4:25)
