Eighties rock band The Pixies is back.  The band has announced that it has a new song titled, ‘bagboy’ and an accompanying video that is rather interesting to say the least.  The video includes a scene involving a tub full of fruit loops and milk and a young man bathing in it.  The young man in question also proceeds at the video’s end to destroy a house.  The video is available to view online now at

Along with the music—the first new material from the band in over two decades—the band has announced the first leg of what is a very extensive worldwide tour.  The first leg of the tour will take the band across Europe beginning in Olympia, Paris, France on September 29th.  From there, the band will crisscross the continent through October and November before closing out the first leg at London’s famed Hammersmith Apollo.  Full ticket and tour information is available online now at http://

Singer/guitarist Black Francis gave a hint as to what audiences could expect on this upcoming tour.  “Along with everyone’s favorites, we’ll be playing songs that we haven’t played in ages or never played live before,” he said.  “Songs like ‘Brick is Red,’ ‘Havalina,’ ‘Tony’s Theme.’ and ‘Sad Punk.’  We’ve probably rehearsed some 80 songs, so we’ll be able to change up the set at the last minute if we feel like it.  We’re all really looking forward to this tour.”

More dates will be announced as the tour progresses.  Fans can keep up with all of the latest tour updates and news from the band online at and
