Billy Corgan and his Smashing Pumpkins bandmates will hit the road this Fall in support of the band’s new album, “Oceania.” The band has officially announced the tour dates for its upcoming arena tour. The fourteen date tour will kick off October 10th in Everett, Washington. It will take the band across the country with select dates in the West Coast, Midwest, and Northeast. It will be sponsored by Citi Private Pass.

Those pre-sale tickets will be available through this Thursday, September 6th. A limited number of VIP packages are also available. They include: a private 3-song backstage performance by the band, a Q&A session, autographed limited edition tour poster, on-site concierge, a copy of the CD, and other merchandise.
Billy Corgan and his Smashing Pumpkins bandmates–Jeff Schroeder (guitar), Mike Byrne (drums), and Nicole Fiorentino (bass)–will perform this Thursday evening on NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The band is expected to perform the latest single from its album, ‘The Celestials.’ Smashing Pumpkins’ new album, “Oceania” is in stores now.
Legendary Chicago based alt-rockers Smashing Pumpkins will see another of its classic albums re-issued this month. “Pisces Iscariot” will receive the re-issue treatment. The album will be re-issued in North America on July 17th via EMI Music. It wil be released overseas July 16th.
The album will be released in multiple formats. Those who prefer the physical copy will be able to purchase it in a deluxe set that includes a live dvd and the first ever Smashing Pumpkins demo to ever be recorded on casette. The demo will be available on the physical re-issue as well as the Deluxe digital, regular digital and 180G vinyl. All of the bonus material inluded in the new re-issue was culled by SP frontman and founder Billy Corgan himself. Bob Ludwig aided in remastering the bonus material.
The members of Smashing Pumpkins are asking fans to submit their best artwork inspired by the band’s new upcoming album, “Imagine Oceania.” The band will take some of its favorite pieces and include them on its many social networking sites. Along with this new initiative, the band has started a new challenge in partnership with JPMAG.com. The challenge allows fans to submit photos for each of the thirteen songs on the band’s upcoming album. There will be challenges to determine the best photo submission for each song. One photo from each challenge will be picked to be included on a limited edition print on demand canvas poster that will be signed by the band.
