Lacuna Coil Debuts ‘Layers of Time’ Video

Goth metal outfit Lacuna Coil debuted the video this week, for the lead single from its forthcoming album Black Anima.

The band debuted the video for the song ‘Layers of Time‘ Friday.  Directed by Robert Cinardi, the video finds the band perfoming its new single on a dimly lit sound stage designed to look like a room in a house.

The song’s musical arrangement is a heavy, guitar-driven composition that will appeal to fans of the aggro-rock sound of the late 1990s that was so popular at the time.  The song’s lyrical content hints at a message of perseverance.  This is inferred as vocalist Andrea Ferro sings, “Building this life/Still trapped inside/I think I’ve lost the storyline/Forever hurt and broken/I swear I’ll get out alive/Burning the bridges built behind/My life’s reloading every night” and as co-vocalist Christina Scabbie sings in the song’s chorus, “Victims of time/We take our chance again/Our road is paved with pain/The past we can’t rewind.”
